Weird pointy Marina guitar, possibly 1980s Japanese

guitarz.blogspot.com:
This very pointy Marina guitar with a faux stone finish is a bit of an oddity. I've not seen one like it before, and neither have I heard of the Marina brandname. The seller seems to think it is Japanese which is possible, I suppose, but I doubt it. I don't agree with the assessment that it's from the 1970s to early 1980s either. The locking trem would suggest that it's more recent than 1970s. I'd personally say it was LATE 1980s to 1990s, and probably Chinese in origin.

But if you know differently...

(Thanks to Lewis who spied this guitar listed on eBay).

- Electra Westone X-700jb Futura Bass, Made In Japan Circa 1984
guitarz.blogspot.com: Ah, you know we're big fans of Japanese-made guitars here at Guitarz, particularly those from the now legendary Matsumoku factory (could they ever do any wrong?), so I can't help myself showing this Electra Westone X-700JB...

- Have You Ever Seen A More Out-of-place Headstock On A Guitar?
guitarz.blogspot.com: I take one look at this 1980s B.C. Rich acoustic guitar and can't help but demand "What were they thinking?" A pointy headstock? On a dreadnaught? Madness! I'm not averse to 6-in-a-line headstocks on acoustic guitars. Fender,...

- Aria Pro Ii Titan Artist Semi-hollowbody In Crackleburst Finish
guitarz.blogspot.com: As far as I am concerned, one of the best kept secrets in the guitar world is the Aria Pro II Titan Artist series from the 1980s and 1990s. They are absolutely superb guitars, and are my own guitar of choice. I have two, a 1990s...

- H.s. Anderson Kite - Pointy 1970s Japanese Guitar Made By Morris
guitarz.blogspot.com: This pointy guitar looks like it could have so easily have come from the 1980s, but perhaps the lack of a locking trem - or actually a trem of any kind - gives the game away that it is actually an earlier creation from 1970s Japan....
