Very Unique Handmade Guitar

guitarz.blogspot.com:

Though I doubt that this hand made beauty/atrocity would sound very good, I'd love to give it a spin.

It looks as if somebody with some woodworking skills built a guitar without ever really seeing one up close. Or maybe they decided that they had better ideas, like the small individual wood saddle pieces, the bizarre squared off tip of the cutaway, and the elaborate inlay that reminds me of popsicle stick art.

According to the interior scrawl this guitar was built in 1991, so we know it has some staying power.

Listed for $100 Canadian

- Mf Exclusive Acoustic Guitar With Interesting Bridge/non-bridge
guitarz.blogspot.com: I'd not heard of MF guitars before seeing this interesting specimen from 1994.Apparently this MF Exclusive Acoustic is made from one piece of wood, not counting the fretboard. I do like the innovative and simple "bridge" and...

- Handmade Custom Esquire. When Cutting Corners Isn't So Bad.
guitarz.blogspot.com: I don't want to like this Custom Esquire. The crack in the wood on the upper bout has been cleverly fixed with walnut inlay and the squared off sides show that the source wood was clearly a bit too small for the template....

- Neck-through Vintage Yamaha Sc1200
guitarz.blogspot.com: I love what Yamaha was doing in the 1970s. I doubt there is a guitar ( or motorcycle for that matter) that they built that decade that I wouldn't be happy to have. This SC1200 is a more conventional offering but still...

- Mara Efin Prototype With Carbon Fibre Top And 1000 Year Old Neck
guitarz.blogspot.com: One of the lines in the very long description for this incredible Mara eFin prototype guitar is: "A great eFin guitar, the opposite of NFG guitar". I don't believe that that is the origin of the name, but it's so...

- One-off Handmade Guitar With A Love And Rockets Theme
guitarz.blogspot.com: Far be it for me to decry the handiwork of those who are talented enough to build their own guitars from scratch - I'm quite sure I couldn't do it - but even having said that, I have to comment that this strangely-shaped...
