Teisco Collectors - a PAIR of Checkmate 17 amps - both Tube and SS in Detroit for $150

What an interesting find for the Teisco collector - this seller is offering both the Tube and SS version of the same amp for one price - $150. Not bad for the Teisco completist.

both the tube and solid state versions of teisco's checkmate 17 guitar amps. both are vintage and were made in japan. they have 10" speakers and feature reverb and tremelo. everything works great except the reverb on the tube version. it requires a piezo? circuit to make it work and they are hard to come by. perhaps installing another reverb pan would suffice. regardless, both amps sound great together and separate. this sale is for both amps.

- Teisco Melody Vintage Tube Combo In Los Angeles Area For $50 May Need Work
This seller is offering one of the nifty little Teisco tube amps from the 1960's.  He says it is missing a tube so we don't know if it works but these are very simple circuits - you could probably replace all...

- Alamo Jet Tube Combo In San Diego For $100
This is the later hybrid version of the Alamo Jet. Note that it does not have the two 12AX7 tubes on the right side of the chassis. The preamp and Reverb are solid state and it has a 5y3 rectifier and a 6V6gt power tube. The Carvin Ceramic Speaker will...

- 3 Beltone (teisco) Small Tube Amps In Detroit Area For $175 Each
Many people think that Beltones were made in Canada (ike Garnets) since they were sold there but they are Japanese amps from Teisco. The same amps were sold here in the USA as Melody brand in the 21950's and 1960's. These are low wattage and the...

- Sano Supersonic Tube Amp In Bay Area For $425
SANO's are very cool tube amps that were made for accordians in New Jersey in the 1960's - and they are built very very well - think Maganatone quality. They are usually pretty clean like the old Ampegs - and often ahve 15 inch speakers - or...

- Knox All Tube 1x12 Amp In Vegas
This tube combo might sound pretty good - or it might suck. You'd have to check it out. I think Knox amps were made by Teisco but it might be one of the Lafayette Univox's also. Hard to tell from this ad. Price is a little high for an amp this...
