Silvertone 628 / Harmony H1200 in Memphis for $275

You don't see these guitars come up for sale very often.

Produced for only a couple of years (1954-1958) the H-1200 is one of the nicest acoustic guitars to come out of the Harmony Chicago factory. A solid spruce top and solid maple body - beautiful Rosewood fretboard (most likely Brazilian) and inlaid MOP markers and fancy acetate headstock overlay.

This probably has about the same dimensions as a modern Taylor 815 jumbo cutaway but don't expect a thin neck on this one - it was the 1950's after all - it should be nice and wide and thick - perfect for Jazz or beefy blues.

1955 Silvertone Model #628 Acoustic Guitar made by Harmony in Chicago (Harmony model #1200). Sunburst finish with single cutaway. Original tuners.
Solid spruce and maple construction (no plywood). SOUNDS GREAT!! Non-adjustable neck is very straight but the action is somewhat high.
High action can be remedied by a luthier. Very beautiful and interesting guitar.

- Silvertone/harmony H-165 Solid Mahogany Acoustic In Mariett Ga For $100
I don't know what the Silvertone model number was on these guitars but other than the different pickguard this is clearly an early 1960's Harmony H-165 acoustic.  A little darker in tone than their Spruce top cousins the H-162 these are still...

- 1960's Silvertone H617 Harmony Made Acoustic In San Fernando Valley For $135
I have seen this model referred to as the Silvetone H617 in the past but it is just one of those mid level Silvertone's from the 1960's.  Not as fancy as a Harmony Sovereign and not as resonant as a Harmony H62 or H65 but good basic concert...

- Kay N-6 Flat-top Acoustic In Medford, Nj Area - Seller Will Trade For Mim Strat
This seller is offering what appears to be a 1950's or 1960's Kay N-6 acoustic for a reasonable price or trade for a MIM Strat or Tele or similar electric.   Model numbers can often be confusing on Kay guitars and the model N-6 appears on...

- 1960's Airline / Kay Acoustic In Southern Ca Inland Empire For $100
This seller is offering an Airline Acoustic he believes is made by Kay and the large dot markers on the fretboard would indicate it likely is a Kay made guitar. I can't place anything else about it - it may have been an exclusive Airline (i.e. Montgomery...

- 1960's Harmony H-162 Acoustic In Chicago For $100
The headstock logo (with the line over the name Harmony) should make this guitar circa 1960-1962. The H-162's was the most popular of the decent guitars made by Harmony from 1940-1971 and the tops are either solid Spruce or Solid Cedar with Mahogany...
