R.L. Burnside plays "See My Jumper" on an old Guyatone-Kent in1978

This was a featured Video on Google/YouTube today (at least it was on my homepage).

Gotta love seeing and hearing the great R.L. Burnside in his work boots showing us all how its done. Note the metal plate between his first fret and nut that seems to be giving this department store guitar its unique tone.

His impeccable rhythm and great vocals don't hurt either.

- 1960's Ibanez/guyatone Early Solid Body Electric In Portland Mn For $140
This seller is offering an early 1960's MIJ electric that is probably an Ibanez or Guyatone. The overall shape and style of this guitar is very similar to Ibanez's own Talman model that they released many years later. This is pre "copy era" when...

- Cool Japanese J-160 Type Acoustic With Pickup In Louisville Ky Area For $125
This is a pretty cool old Japanese acoustic from what I can see. It looks like a cross between a Gibson J-160e and a Fender Sonoran. The neck looks like real mahogany rather than the usual laminated strips and the top may be solid spruce - or it could...

- Kalamazoo Tube Amp In Boston Area For $299
Kalamazoo amps are sort of hit or miss. Some people love them - I think they are just okay. This is an interesting one because it was designed a bass amp so with 7591 tubes it should be much more powerful than a more common s;tudent amp like a Kalamazoo...

You don't see these 4 pickup Kent's everyday.   And you thought your Teisco had a busy control plate - check this out - 8 knobs and at least 5 switches (is that a phase switch by the output jack?)!  Don't expect Gibson...
