Orpheum (Kay) 1950's neck thru electric guitar in Long beach CA for $500

This seller is offering an Orpheum single pickup electric for $500. These Orpheums are similar to the Kay one piece guitars from the late 1950's that were similar to the Harmony H44 Stratotones. From the looks of that body, pickup and neck I'd say this one was made in the Kay factory. Orpheum is an old guitar brand out of New York. I am curious to find out from any players what these sound and play like.

I believe this guitar was made in the late '50's - early '60's. Similar to a Harmony Stratotone. Cool copper finsih that has faded a bit. The headstock logo is faded but still very visible. Lots of play wear and plenty of nicks and scratches. Everything works, sounds cool. I believe this guitar is all original except for the new strings, a couple pickguard screws, and maybe the output cable. $500 OBO cash only, no trades. Call or text James 562 ***-****.

Location: Signal Hill / Long Beach

- Univox Hi-flyer In Long Beach Ca For $400
Seller is offering a nice looking Phase 4 Hi-Flyer for a decent price but what really makes the difference here is the Hipshot Piano Bridge and tailpiece. I absolutely love the way that upgrade looks on this guitar since it aligns perfectly with the natural...

- Kay Swingmaster In Long Beach Ca For $250
This looks like a "transitional" period Swingmaster from the late 1960's. Kay was still making guitars in the USA at this point but they had started to use an occasional Asian part such as the Vibrato tailpiece on this guitar. The Speedbump pickups...

- Harmony, Kay And Orpheum Guitars - All Three For $450 In Seattle Wa
Okay so one is a banjo but it still might be a good deal, just  depends on your particular taste - and I must say that lil' Orpheum look shweeeet.  The Harmony is a bit unusual seeing that it is white - and the seller seems to know...

- Orpehum Archtop In Charlotte For $75
Orpheum was made by Regal. I can't say I've ever seen a nice MOP inlaid neck like this on an Orpheum but this may be an exception - would be their top of the line. This could even be a nice collector model if it is rare as I suspect it to be....
