National Electric Bass Guitar in Lincoln NE for $300

This seller appears to be offering a late 1960's National brand electric bass. I've never seen this model but it looks like it was based on the Lexington guitar line of the final period when Valco/National was in decline nearing bankruptcy. Not a lot of info on these guitars and they sometimes are found with Japanese made hardware.

From the photo, the action on this bass appears to be "through the roof" so this may be a project guitar. I'd be curious to get feedback from anyone who has played one of these or gets a close up look at this particular model.

This is a late 60's to early 70's Guitar, Comes with hard case but is not the original case. From what I've found these can be very costly guitars. If your interested in taking a look or testing it out please let me know. Asking $300 or best offer

- 1960s National Eg885-2rg Semi-hollowbody Looking Suspiciously Japanese
guitarz.blogspot.com: I've always thought of National guitars as being quintessentially American, but this National EG885-2RG semi-hollowbody electric, currently being offered for sale on eBay, does look to be suspiciously Japanese in the style of...

- Valco Made Combo Amp In Nyc For $300
A reader brought this listing to my attention. It's an interesting combo amp that appears to be a cross between a Supro Trojan and a Harmony 525 Bass amp. I'd suspect this was labeled as a National but I could be wrong since National used the...

- Rare National Triple Pickup Electric In Silverlake For $600
I don't know the model name of this National - maybe one of you Valco fans can help us with that - but it has three of the humbucker sized single coils that are also in the Reso and Map guitars so should sound pretty good. I'vew seen this model...

- 1959 Supro Belmont In Dc For $625
The prices on these Supro/Airline/National guitars has gone through the roof so I am not sure what is considered a good edeal anymore (i.e. The National Glenwoods are now changing hands at between $4K and $10K!). This is just a single pickup Belmont...

- 1963 National Val-verb 1260 Amp In Canada For $500
This amp is basically the same layout and circuit as the Supro 1624T that everyone is paying $2K for these days - and the National Models were Valco's "top of the line." Dual 6973 power tubes and reverb and two 10 inch Jensen's - this 15 watt...
