more elaborated sketches

You might have noticed that in my last sketches I'm been busy with beveled designs. Unless it's deliberate - like for the minimal telecaster - I realize that I don't like so much plank guitars, but I'm not into arch-top either - so beveling is an interesting option.
I'm quite desperate to have no time to start building my projects but this delay allows me to slowly mature them and these new sketches show an interesting step in my process. This implies further modification of the shapes, also front plates and chambering...

A comment on a previous post showed interest in the red model I resketch here more precisely - Les Paul based with some material removed for lighter weight that make it look like nothing I ever saw before. - Interlude
Sorry for not posting much lately, I'm a little bit busy with other projects, but mostly my scanner is dead and I didn't decide yet how to replace it... But I have sketches and also other things to post about in the coming days! ...

- More Sketches
And here comes the last batch of guitar sketches - there's been 145 posts showing these sketches in the last 3 years, usually 8 guitars each time, that's over 1000 proposals of guitar designs... I remind the readers and followers of this...

- Crackle Guitar Session
The last week-end was dedicated to the conception and making of 2 crackle guitars (yes we do it Sonic Youth style, each of us has his own personalized model) - these are the more or less definitive sketches of the guitars. There's been a few modifications...

- More Sketches, But Different
I reached lately some designs that I consider valuable enough to not blend in my mass production... So I made cleaner sketches. I will try to do this more often now, also to come back on old sketches to check how they feel after a few weeks/months,...

- Using Traditional Tuners For Headless Designs
A post on this blog contains some nice sketches of headless guitars with traditional tuners mounted behind the bridge. Some designs even had holes through the body for the tuners. That looked good, but it might be difficult to get a good hold of the tuners...
