The Model 280 is basically the Holy Grail of Magnatone's because it was the amp Buddy Holly used on Peggy Sue and several other hits. In fact George Gruhn is selling the 1958 Magnatone 280 that belonged to Buddy Holly for $175K... yes, that is correct, I said $175,000.
Makes this all original working Maggie 280 seems like quite a deal at $695 - even if it does need some cosmetic restoration.

Hello Friends of Tone,
I have for your consideration a Magnatone 280 High Fidelity Musical Instrument Amplifier. Two twelve inch speakers and 45 Watts. True Vibrato, also in Stereo Mode.
Cosmetics are a six. The amplifier is very original and fully functional. I haven't made any component replacements. Thought I would offer the amplifier for Sale.
If there isn't a Buyer, then I will Restore the unit for my own personal use.
