Hohner Contessa acoustic Dreadnaught in Atlanta GA area for $150

This seller (or reseller) is offering a 40+ year old West German made Honer Contessa acoustic. You will see these identified as Framus and Hofners on occasion but I am pretty sure that Contessa was a trademarked label of the Hohner company for musical items sold here in the United States all throughout the 1960's and early 1970's.

It certainly does resemble a Framus Texan so it may have been made in the same town or factory as the Framus line. The arched backs on these are a dead giveaway of their West German origin. The pickguards on these often bubble as they shrink over time thought this one appears to be okay.

This seller is offering a stunning Framus 192L for $250 obo in the Olympia WA area.  This had to have been Framus' top of the line acoustic in the mid 1960's - look at that matched bookend flaming on the body - it looks like Bubinga or some...

- Framus Sportsman Electric In Nola For $50
This small bodied semi-hollow looks more like a Japanese model than a German one but it is a Framus so should be German made. That's a very low price by any standard. Framus Sportsman Vintage Guitar - $50 (Slidell) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

- 1945 Framus Parlor Acoustic In Seattle Area For $300
Nice little Framus that looks all original - though I don't see how they could still have been making guitars in Bavaria in 1945 (didn't we blow up every German factory by that point in the war?) but probably somewhere around that time. Looks...
