Guild S-200 Thunderbird from 1965

guitarz.blogspot.com:
The Guild S-200 Thunderbird was the guitar of choice of Muddy Waters and and The Lovin' Spoonful's Zal Yanovsky. It was the inspiration for the 1990s Korean-made DeArmond-branded Jet Star, a guitar which is collectable enough in its own right. Naturally, the original USA-made Guild is, of course, much cooler with its antiquated looking controls, its slablike oblong DeArmond single coil pickups and the built-in stand in the back of the guitar, while the vibrato would not look out of place on one of Italy's idiosyncratic Wandre guitars.

Currently listed on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $3,750.

guitarz.blogspot.com: Here's a Guild Starfire SF-4 from 1981 with walnut finish, set neck construction, ebony fingerboard, factory stop tailpiece, and Westerly, RI label. Yes, a tasteful guitar from the 1980s; perhaps only those Guild XR-7 pickups...

guitarz.blogspot.com: Guild's M-75 model was released as the Aristocrat in 1952 - the same year than Gibson's Les Paul - and has a hollow body despite its lack of sound holes. It's been discontinued and re-issued over the last decades...

- Dearmond M55
guitarz.blogspot.com Strangely it is difficult to find information about this DeArmond M55 - though it's an internet era guitar released in the 2000s! Even though it's been discontinued and DeArmond don't produce guitars anymore, Fender (who...

- Guild Polara Vintage Beauty From 1963
guitarz.blogspot.com: I'm always happy to feature classic Guild guitars on this blog. The company having been consumed by the mighty Fender corporation survives merely as a brandname of that company alongside Squier. I worry that the original American-made...

- Guild Thunderbird Tube Amp In Boston Area For $300
The Thunderbird was Guilds version of the Fender Pro Reverb. It has Dual 6L6 power tubes for about 50 watts, Tremolo and Reverb. I don't know much about Guild amps but my quick research tells me that this seems like a unique example because it has...
