This seller is offering a nice looking Les Paul Special for only $400. These are nice guitars (I also own one - mine is a 1996). they are a good bit lighter than a Les Paul Standard but still sound and play great. I believe that these all came with P100's but it is always possible they could be P90's in there as well.

2000 Gibson Les Paul Jr. Special. Works like the day I bought it new. Sounds and plays excellent. It has some normal light wear just from playing it over the years. No issues Needing to sell before I move.

I have one of these gloss finish Les Paul Specials in Red - mine is a 1998 - and the 498T pickup in the bridge is the way to go IMO. Gives plenty of modern bite but nice and clean when you roll back the volume. I like the Special over the Studio any day...
