Gibson Les Paul Classic 3-Pickup w Bigsby and P90's at GC in Nashville for $899

When was the last time you saw a real Gibson Les Paul Classic (not a 60's Tribute, Special or Studio) with three pickups and a full size Bigsby tailpiece for under $1K?    Not recently I am sure.

This used Les Paul they have for sale at the Nashville Guitar Center has been heavily modified from it's original state and I have not played it or spoken to anyone at the store about it.  But that said, I would expect that if someone was going to pull the pickups out of a Classic (they came stock with 496T and 500T Ceramic pickups) and replace them with P90's as two of these are - I'd think they would use some pretty darn good pickups - wouldn't you?  Maybe Gibsons or Fralins.  I can't tell by looking but the Bridge Humbucker in this guitar is definitely not the stock 500T - it is a rails humbucker of some sort.

The mods don't stop there, though.  The original 3-way switch has been replaced by three mini switches - I'd guess that they turn each pickup on and off, which gives you every possible combination of the three.   And then of course there is the Bigsby and they chose a full blown B7 (ala Neil Young's Old Blackie) which just looks oh so cool giving this Les Black Les Paul some serious old school retro rock and blues appeal.

That's a lot of guitar for $899 (+ tax and shipping).   It's hard for me to resist - how about you?   - JC

- 1978 Gibson L6-s At Gc In Langhorne Pa For $499
I spotted this Vintage Bill Lawrence designed Gibson L6-S on the Guitar Center used gear site.  This black version of the L6-S Custom is less common than the all maple bodied model and it has a nice Ebony fretboard.  The listing implies that...

- 1960's Airline Resoglass Electric At Gc In Portage, Mi For $599
Spotted this Airline at a GC in Michigan for only $599.  This is a 3/4 scale guitar otherwise very similar to the Supro Sahara.  The neck is 14 frets to the body so not as small as one of the Tosca's but should still be a light and easy...

- 1981 Fender Usa Bullet At Gc In Indianapolis For $349
The Fender Bullet is a not-very-well known model that was only made in the USA for a few years before being shipped to overseas production as a Squier.  I spotted this one at a Guitar Center in Indianapoolis and I chatted with Robert in the guitar...

- 1991 Gibson Sg-x In Minneapolis For $350
Nice deal on a cool USA made Gibson SG-X.  I would imagine this will sell very fast.  Posted yesterday.    The listing says he wants a local sale only.   ****************************************** Gibson SG-X USA made...

- 1978 Gibson "the Paul" Les Paul In Kansas City For $599
Here is a nice deal on a 1978 Gibson "The Paul" Les Paul. Looks like the seller is giving a 10% Discount for "saw it on Craigslist" (huh? where else would you be seeing it?) Maybe he will credit the $50 towards the shipping cost instead. GIBSON "THE...
