Current Vintage Guitar Deals at GC in thier Used Gear Dept

I've bought several vintage guitars from Guitar Center over the years and it is usually a very good transaction.  The nice part is they box well and ship for cheap (usually about $25) and they will take a return if the guitar turns out to have an undisclosed problem.  That said, it is still Caveat Emptor - "Let the Buyer Beware."   Here is a list of some current Vintage Guitar finds at GC that won't be making it into their "Vintage Room" LOL.   Just call the individual Guitar Center location and talk to a staff member to find out more about these specific guitars.

KENT POLARIS at GC in Dayton OH for $149

This Polaris has a few things going for it, one being the less common cream finish (they are usually sunburst) and this one has a Vibrato tailpiece with the original vibrato arm in place (very unusual).

NATIONAL MIJ Acoustic w/ DeArmond Pickup at GC in Richmond VA for $249

I can speak for the quality or sound of these late's 60's Made in Japan National Acoustics (though this one looks like a pretty fancy model) but the DeArmond pickup in the soundhole of this one is almost worth the price of admission (if it works).

SUPRO STUDENT DELUXE LAP STEEL at GC in SCRANTON PA FOR $249

This Supro Student Deluxe lappie looks alot like my old Supro Comet and it has the same "string thru" pickup that sounds keeelah for dirty blues.

HARMONY H6164 SOVEREIGN ACOUSTIC AT GC in DALLAS TX for $279

Okay, so it isn't an H1264 (Ryan Adams) model but this Sovereign still looks sweet (unless the action is a mile high).  Worth taking a look since this one is the earlier "bound neck" version and should sound good.

- Sherwood Deluxe Archtop Acoustic With Dearmond Pickup In Fayetteville Ak For $350
Here is a nice find for our readers in the Arkansas area.  This seller is offering a 1940's Sherwood Deluxe, which is one of the higher end Kay built models, and this one includes a working DeArmond pickup with the volume and tone pots. ...

- Supro Lexington Solid Body Electric In Cleveland, Oh For $325
This Lexington is a late model Supro - from about 1967-68 right before the Valco bankruptcy - and these are not as in demand as the earlier models - but I'd be surprised itf this doesn't sound pretty good.  I've always wondered...

- Superior By Noble 50+ Year Old Parlor Guitar In Oklahoma City, Ok For $45
This looks to be a very old American Made "Superior" by Noble acoustic.  Similar to a post-war Kay or Harmony student model and it includes an original chipboard case.  That looks to me like an old Chicago tailpiece ala Valco/Supro.  ...

- Supro Lap Steel Mots In Duluth For $225
Neat Supro with Acetate/ MOTS finish - I have one of these (mine is a Comet) and they look and sound very nice. $225 is a good price if it works well. ************************************************ Supro Lap Steel Guitar - $225 (Two Harbors) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

- 1959 Supro Belmont In Dc For $625
The prices on these Supro/Airline/National guitars has gone through the roof so I am not sure what is considered a good edeal anymore (i.e. The National Glenwoods are now changing hands at between $4K and $10K!). This is just a single pickup Belmont...
