Cort AS-1 thin bodied acoustic guitar with red binding and inlay

guitarz.blogspot.com:

There is a part of me, one clearly rooted in the 1980s I'm sure, that would love to have this Cort AS-1 acoustic guitar. I did a quick search and found very little information about this guitar other than a few reviews that go from poor to a comparison to a Chet Atkins signature guitar. I would suspect that it was manufactured in the early 1990s even though it screams 1987 to me and that it was likely made in Korea.

The seller claims that this is a "rarest of the rare" guitar and it may very well be. But sometimes items are rare because they weren't good enough to make a lot of them. That said, the seller also claims that this was a $1400 guitar when purchased new, so it may be an example of higher quality from Cort. There is a huge diversity in the Cort guitars I've played, so I guess it's possible that this is one of the better ones.

Has anyone played one of these?

Currently listed at $299 Canadian.

- Taylor Gt8 Baritone 8 String Acoustic Guitar.
guitarz.blogspot.com: I'm not necessarily a fan of Taylor guitars. I've played a lot of them and they are actually quite playable, I've just never played one that sang to me in anyway and they really aren't offering anything unique....

- Avante Av-2 Discontinued Baritone Acoustic Guitar
guitarz.blogspot.com: I got to play one of these Avante Baritone Guitars when they were a new product in the stores. It was the best baritone acoustic I had played at the time and probably still the best mass manufactured baritone that...

- Vantage Neck-through Electric Guitar With Upgrades. Made In Japan
guitarz.blogspot.com: Here we have another fine example of circa 1970s-1980s Japanese craftsmanship. Vantage was one of many brands to come out of the Matsumoku plant and, I believe, made for the Canadian market. There is a lot to like about this...

- Clevinger By Robert Lee Fretless Electric Bass
guitarz.blogspot.com: I suspect that this Clevinger by Robert Lee fretless bass was designed as a electric upright bass (EUB) - the name "Clevinger" is ringing bells in the back of my mind, but I can't remember any details as to why or who might have...

- Ultra-rare One-off 1980s Mosrite Axe Bass Which May Or May Not Have Been Made For Gene Simmons
guitarz.blogspot.com: The eBay seller of this one-off 1980s Mosrite Axe Bass claims that it must be the rarest of the rare amongst Mosrites, but when that company is known for its various one-off guitar creations, such a claim is hard to substantiate....
