1980s Yamato Model 120. An excellent looking, previously unheard of Japanese Dreadnought

guitarz.blogspot.com:

I've seen and worked on a lot of 1970 and newer Japanese acoustics. They are often one of my favourite guitars to work on as a good repair can virtually resurrect a guitar an owner would have deemed unusable.

That said, I've never seen or heard of Yamato. This is a great looking dreadnought with a cedar top and lovely looking rosewood back and sides.

At $250 Canadian this would likely make a great guitar for years to come.

With a good setup, that is.

- Phoenix Phantom Headless Bass. 1980s Made In Japan
guitarz.blogspot.com: I'd never heard of Phoenix guitars before. Clearly they were part of the Japanese invasion of the 1980s. This Phoenix Phantom looks to be a solid example of the quality that was going into all the made in Japan guitars...

- Vintage Granada Hollow-body Beauty From 1972 With Granada Amp
guitarz.blogspot.com: What a great example of Japanese craftsmanship, from a name you maybe have never heard of, Granada. I have memories of Granada from my very first band where the other guitar player had an amp that looked a lot like the one...

- Vantage Neck-through Electric Guitar With Upgrades. Made In Japan
guitarz.blogspot.com: Here we have another fine example of circa 1970s-1980s Japanese craftsmanship. Vantage was one of many brands to come out of the Matsumoku plant and, I believe, made for the Canadian market. There is a lot to like about this...

- Rare Condor Corperation Guitar With On Board Effects. Made In Japan
guitarz.blogspot.com: I've never tried a guitar with built in effects. I have seen a few for sale over the years, and have seen them profiled on this blog. This is the first time I've seen or heard of Condor Corperation guitars. All in...

- Prototype Luthier Crafted Double Neck Acoustic Guitar
guitarz.blogspot.com: Given Gavin's love of double necked guitars I would be remiss to not share this prototype acoustic here on Guitarz. I like the general body shape and it looks like it may not be as cumbersome as other double neck acoustics....
