1977 Burns Artist. The very first one made.

guitarz.blogspot.com:

My heart is aflutter. Look at this wonderful Burns Artist from 1977. It has the serial number A1, which apparently means that it was the first one made for sale.

Apparently Jim Burns thought the Artist had a "more conventional style". I agree with the seller that he could not have been more incorrect, or perhaps modest. This stunner screams originality. Awesome curves, carves, and simple elegance makes this one for the top my covet list.

Currently listed at $7995.

- When A Burns Isn't A Burns. Japanese Made Violin-bodied 12 String Burns "copy".
guitarz.blogspot.com: I found this Japan made Burns guitar while doing one of my regular "Burns Guitar" searches the other day. I'm hesitant to call this a copy as I'm not aware of any Burns guitar that is similar to this model. Has...

- Burns Guitar And Bass Doubleneck, One-off Possibly Employee-made
guitarz.blogspot.com: Here's another bizarre doubleneck instrument, this time it's a Burns guitar/bass combination. Although it has genuine 1960s Burns parts, we do not know for sure its back-story. The seller believes that it was possibly made...

- Burns/baldwin Virginian From The Late 1960s
guitarz.blogspot.com: We previously looked at a prototype Virginian from Jim Burns' involvement with Hayman guitars at the beginning of the 1970s, but the design predates that era and was previously issued in the late 1960s when Burns London Ltd had...

- Burns Flyte In Gold - Ex Age Of Chance And Sonic Youth
guitarz.blogspot.com: When we talk about Burns Guitars here on Guitarz, I confess we are often being lazy and lumping the various differnt Burns companies together into one gestalt entity. In fact there were a succession of companies within which Jim...

- Burns Marquis (ri) Electric In North Jersey For $350
Though this is not a vintage 60's Burns guitar these Reissues are pretty cool and they are hard to find here in the USA for a decent price. This one is about half the price of a new imported Marquis - I like these better than the Burns RI Cobra which...
